Karnataka’s recently concluded southwest monsoon was marked by not just deficient rainfall, but also highly uneven distribution of showers across the season.
According to the input, 79 out of 122 monsoon days in the state went almost dry, reflecting a prolonged lack of rain during the period.
The erratic rainfall pattern caused huge crop losses in several areas, adding to concerns for farmers affected by the weak monsoon.
