Telangana has screened 1.49 crore people for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), according to official data.
During the screening, health authorities identified around 18 lakh people with hypertension and nine lakh with diabetes.
The screening drive was carried out across the state as part of efforts to detect NCDs early and provide timely care. Further details on treatment and follow-up were not included in the input.
