CJP has called for a fresh protest at Jantar Mantar on October 11, a day after police detained protesters, activists and political leaders during demonstrations on October 10.
Addressing a press conference after the detentions, Ajinkya Shinde, the party’s national organisation in-charge, said CJP would not back down until the Chief Election Commissioner resigns.
Shinde said the party would continue its agitation despite the police action. The situation remained tense following the detentions, but no further details were provided.
