India has criticised remarks made by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the United Nations, with Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb accusing the bloc of ignoring Pakistan’s alleged actions.

In his statement, Deb said the OIC chair should focus on Pakistan’s illegal occupation, particularly in Rawalakot, where he alleged there were “wanton killings, brutal violence” and denial of basic rights to local people.

He said such “willful blindness” reflected “bigotry and intolerance,” while urging attention to what he described as the real situation on the ground in the area.
