Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has invited global firms for consultancy work on the Phase-3 Orange Line of Namma Metro, more than two years after the project received approval.
The Phase-3 expansion is expected to help ease traffic congestion in Bengaluru, especially on heavily crowded stretches of Outer Ring Road West, Magadi Road and other major arterial roads.
The consultancy process marks a fresh step forward for the long-delayed metro phase, which is intended to improve urban mobility in the city.
