Bengaluru: A study by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) has found a link between loneliness, psychological distress and excessive series watching among parents of emigrated children.

The findings are being seen as relevant ahead of World Mental Health Day, observed on October 10, which focuses attention on mental health and the need to address psychological well-being.

The study points to the emotional impact of children migrating abroad on parents left behind, highlighting the need for greater awareness and support for psychological health.
