Chennai police have put in place a five-tier security arrangement ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit to the city, officials said.

The plan includes the deployment of around 15,000 officers and personnel for the security operation. City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj chaired a review meeting to assess the preparations.

Authorities have not shared further details on the itinerary, but the security arrangements are being closely monitored as the visit approaches.
