The Centre has pushed back against American billionaire Elon Musk’s allegation that Starlink’s entry into India is being “blocked” by certain “oligarchs” seeking to protect their “monopolistic chokehold.”
Musk made the claim in a recent post, but the government said the charge was “baseless and misconceived,” according to the report.
Starlink, the satellite internet service owned by Musk-led SpaceX, has long been seeking entry into the Indian market. The latest exchange has once again drawn attention to the company’s regulatory path in India, though no official approval status was detailed in the input.
