Indian equity benchmarks fell in early trade on Wednesday after a two-day rally, with the Sensex declining 460 points. The pullback came as investors booked profits across key index stocks.
Among the 30 Sensex firms, Titan, Asian Paints, Bharat Electronics, Maruti, Axis Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the laggards. The weakness in these counters weighed on the index.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance and Bharti Airtel were among the gainers. Market participants will continue to watch broader trading trends after the recent upmove.
