Maharashtra will soon introduce a digital system to track milk, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) chief Tukaram Mundhe said, as the state steps up efforts to curb adulteration.

According to Mundhe, the FDA has already begun inspecting milk collection centres across Maharashtra to check for adulteration, unsafe milk and compliance with prescribed practices.

The inspections are part of a broader effort to improve milk safety and monitoring across the state. The digital tracking system is expected to strengthen oversight once introduced.
