Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has said that no requisition has been sent to the State governments for the proposed Hyderabad-Chennai, Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Pune high-speed rail corridors.
He said alignment studies for the projects are still under way, and therefore any land acquisition without formal requisition would be illegal.
The minister’s remarks indicate that the proposed corridors remain at a preliminary stage, with the route finalisation process still pending.
