Srinagar: Workers of regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir joined anti-Chief Election Commissioner protests in Kashmir on Wednesday, with the demonstration in Lal Chowk blocked by security forces.

According to the input, the protesters attempted to march through the streets of Lal Chowk but were not allowed to proceed. They were carrying placards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Election Commissioner Kumar.

The protest comes amid sharp political remarks from PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah, who reportedly likened the situation in Delhi to Kashmir in 2019. Further details were not provided.
