The Haryana Chief Electoral Officer has launched a three-day drive to clear pending SIR notices across the state, officials said.
As part of the drive, 57,339 pending hearing cases were disposed of on October 7 and 8. This brought down the number of cases awaiting hearings to 2,85,834 out of the total notices generated in the state.
Officials said the drive is aimed at speeding up the disposal of pending cases and reducing the backlog of hearings.
