The Central University of Kerala has suspended five students following protests during a Vande Mataram seminar on campus, according to officials.
Police also registered a suo motu case against 25 students on the charge of gathering in a group and disrupting the proceedings, officials said.
The case is under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
